Make loose leaf Tea make a difference…

Welcome to my website!

My name is Joanna and I am the face, mind and muscle behind the tea4you business. Tea is my passion and love. I'm grateful for my job every day. I have spent many years immerse myself each day deeper and deeper into the beautiful universe which is tea. Much like coffee or wine, loose leaf tea has a whole palette, with endless nuances and notes to be found in every cup.

My job is to procure the best teas I can find and introduction them to my wonderful customers. People often refer to me as the ‘tea lady’ but my real calling is to become one of the best tea sommelier in Ireland ;).

I can proudly say that my selection of teas is unique on a European scale! You will not find a collection like this anywhere else. It is very personal to me and I have been creating and developed it in collaboration with five the most talented tea blenders in Europe. I have testing hundreds of teas every year in order to find what is, in my opinion, the best of the best.

I have been building my microbusiness in the West of Ireland for 10 years now.  I have faced many challenges during this time and progress has always been slow but very steady. I believe that small is beautiful and I hope that I can keep my business small for as long as possible.

Many of my customers have asked why I choose to trade on Farmers Markets instead of opening a tea shop or tea room. Would it not be much easier to work indoors and not have to deal with the Irish weather? :). Indeed, working outdoors is not easy, but over the last 10 years I have seen many tea shops open and close without success, even in big cities like Cork or Dublin. I decided to take a different approach, travelling to small town like Ennis and Killaloe/Ballina and trading there just once a week like a small pop up tea shop.

There is also another, more personal reason why I am still doing Farmers Markets after 10 years, and that is simply because I have fallen in love with it. Farmers Markets have something magical about them, there is a particular energy to being in this environment with is difficult to describe. Farmers Markets have a very special way of connecting people, stallholders and customers alike to create a wonderful sense of togetherness and community spirit. It is like coming back home from a long journey and the stallholders are like your extended family.  Please visit me here, I look forward to meeting you, my dear tea friends.

So, why the online shop also.....I created this online shop as a means by which to introduce my teas to the global Farmers Market in our global village. It also gives me the opportunity to reconnect with my customers who are far away or cannot visit me at my market stall. I have been lucky enough to meet many wonderful customers through the Farmers Markets over the years who have since moved away, and I miss all you guys.

I hope that you will fall in love with my tea collection and I wish you happy tea browsing!!!
